The NDMFA is pleased to once again host the PeeWee Girls Fastball Classic at Beban Park in Nanaimo.  This tournament is open to B an C class teams and promises to bring out the best in each team attending.  A perpetual trophy will be awarded to the top team in each event, medals for 1-3, and a Skills Competition will ensure that the players have fun.  Registrations are already being received so teams should move on this soon.

2010 BC SUMMER GAMES

The deadline for applications is Feb.22/2010

The Zone 6 Girls' Fastball Team is still accepting player try out registrations.

1.  The coaching staff and management has been selected.  Mike deLaronde, Rob Ripley and Shannon Charlesworth are the coaches with Pauline Davidson taking on the team management.

2.  The try outs are open to girls that will be on a Softball BC registered team in 2010.  There will be 4 try outs at different locations.  Players will have to attend more than one try out to be considered for the team.  A pitcher/Catcher try out will be scheduled in addition to the 4 general try outs.

3.  Girls born in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 are eligible to try out.  If you already registered you don’t have to do it again.

4.  Only 1 team will be selected to represent the Zone.  This will be an all-star team.

5.  A try out fee has been set at $45.00 per player (payable at the first try out they attend).  Each player trying out will receive a numbered Summer Games t-shirt to identify them at the try outs.

6.  Players selected to the team will be required to pay $150.00 that will be forwarded to the BC Summer Games.

7.  Transportation, Accommodation and meals will be provided to the team for the duration of the BC Summer Games.

Welcome to the NDMFA Fastpitch Try outs. The purpose of these try outs is to identify which players have an interest and ability to play fastball at a competitive level above what house league can offer. All players from any association are invited to attend.

Applications are now being accepted from people who desire to coach at a competitive level. The Nanaimo Diamonds and the Nanaimo Knights are the Girls and Boys rep teams representing the NDMFA. Coaching positions are available in the Squirts (98-99), Pee Wee (96-97), Bantam (94-94) and Midget (91, 92, 93). All interested persons must have submitted an application with coaching resume prior to October 1, 2009. Application packages may be mailed to Nanaimo District Minor Fastball Association Box 264 Station "A" Nanaimo BC V9R 5K9, or emailed to mykdel@shaw.ca.

NDMFA Coach wins BC Summer Games Coaching Position.

In 2010 the BC Summer Games will be held in the Township of Langley and a Nanaimo Coach will be heading the Vancouver Island Team.

The Nanaimo District Minor Fastball Assoc. believes everyone deserves a chance to play. If you have a family of three or more children wishing to play ball, the youngest child of that household that registers, will have their registration fee waved.
